OUR MISSION

At Davis Dance Company, we strive to provide exceptional dance education, a welcoming studio environment, and instill a lifelong passion for dance in our students. We pride ourselves in our ability to challenge and push dancers of all ages and levels to be their best while also having fun in the classroom. Our students are encouraged to develop their artistic voice and express themselves through dance. We aim to produce confident, responsible, and hard working dancers that can use these skills in all aspects of their life.

Kaitlin Davis Davis Dance Company

KAITLIN DAVIS

CO-OWNER & CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Kaitlin Davis (she/her) holds a BFA in Dance Performance from East Carolina University, where she was also recognized as the 2014 Outstanding Senior in Dance. After graduation, Kaitlin performed in North Carolina with Opera House Theater Company, Forward Motion Dance Company, and at the Cucalorus Film Festival. She then moved to the Atlanta area where she has danced with SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company, Atlanta Dance Collective, Stella Entertainment, and Britt Fishel & Artists. Kaitlin has performed as part of the Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Asheville Fringe festivals, Dance Canvas, and Fall for Fall Dance Festival. She choreographed for the NBC film Gametime: Tackling the Past in which she was also a featured dancer, and has performed with Earth Wind and Fire on tour. Kaitlin has taught students of all ages for ten years and loves bringing her passion for dance to her students at DDC. She is a Judge for Beyond the Stars, Breakout, and Fusion National Dance Competitions. In her spare time she enjoys relaxing with her boyfriend Daniel and their dog Lainey.

Sarah Davis Davis Dance Company

SARAH DAVIS

CO-OWNER & CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Sarah Davis (she/her) is from Wilmington, North Carolina and holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from East Carolina University. For four years, Sarah danced professionally during her summers at the Tony Award winning The Lost Colony in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There, she played the role of Elizabeth Glane in 2016 and in 2017-2019 she acted as dance captain. Sarah has performed in the Cucalorus Film Festival and Fall for Fall Dance Festival. Sarah performed for three seasons with SIDEWAYS Contemporary Dance Company. She has taught a variety of dance styles in both Wilmington and Atlanta. She is also a judge for OneBeat Dance Brand Competitions. Sarah loves inspiring her students to be the best that they can be! In her spare time, Sarah enjoys going to the beach, taking her dog Sushi on adventures, and spending time with her boyfriend Tucker.

JACLYN HONGSERMEIER

INSTRUCTOR

Jaclyn Hongsermeier (she/her) is thrilled to join Davis Dance Company as an Instructor. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she brings over fifteen years of dance experience and has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern, among other styles. Jaclyn graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Arts Management. While studying there, she was a member of MMC's chapter of the National Dance Education Organization and completed a semester at London Contemporary Dance School. She recently moved to Durham and can often be found exploring the local coffee shops with a good book.

AMANDA LUPACCHINO

INSTRUCTOR

Amanda Lupacchino (she/her) is a performer, director, choreographer and educator from New York City. She has toured North America with Sesame Street LIVE!, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE!, Angelina Ballerina and was also a part of the Annie national tour as a kid! Her regional theater credits include: The Prom, A Chorus Line, Hairspray, Memphis, Cabaret, Grease, West Side Story, South Pacific, Saturday Night Fever, Mamma Mia and All Shook Up. She has worked alongside some of Broadway’s greats on pre-production and workshops for the Broadway shows Jekyll and Hyde, Prince of Broadway and Chasing Rainbows. Her director and choreography credits include Bring It On: The Musical, A Chorus Line, The Addams Family, Wonderland: Alice’s Rock and Roll adventure as well as many cabarets and showcases. She was also the creative assistant for Wine Lovers: The Musical on Norwegian Cruise Lines. TV/Film credits include: Monsters Inside Me and A Party To Die For. Amanda received her Bachelors of Science in Liberal Arts from The New School with a concentration in Creative Arts Therapy. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the young performers at Davis Dance Company. www.amandaleighlupacchino.com

MICHELLE MOSS

OFFICE STAFF

Michelle Moss (she/her) is from Henderson, North Carolina and is currently a full-time college student pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Psychology/Clinical Social Work. Michelle's youngest daughter, Ava Grace, has been a student at DDC since the very first summer camp prior to opening the studio and is also an assistant on Saturday mornings. Since DDC is our second home, it only seemed right to work here as well! She is a parent representative for Ava Grace's summer swim team. In addition to Ava Grace, Michelle has 2 adult children, daughter-in-law, adult step-son and a granddaughter. She was previously active in several different community theatres acting/singing/dancing in productions such as A Chorus Line as Bebe, Godspell as Gilmer, and Crimes of the Heart as Lenny among many other productions. Michelle worked as a corporate/government travel consultant for 15+ years prior to returning to college.
